Hi All,

Been browsing your site and must add that you guys seem to be a fun and helpful bunch.

I do not own a beemer now but this will change early next month went I take delivery of my very first beemer. Although this club is ideal for someone like me, I dont think I can contribute much to you guys.

Wish me luck!

Cheers,

Re: BMW Greenie

Hi there and welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay here and learn many new things about your car. No worries about the contribution part as you can always buy us ice lemon tea and chicken nuggets at our monthly meetups.......kekeke
Cheers.

Re: BMW Greenie

Hi again!

Advice Please! There are two things I will be getting for my beemer; tinted glasses and IPOD Interface.

For tinting, should I go for conventional VCool or other makes? I am not the mafia type, so I dont need the tint to be very dark :)

As for IPOD, was told that PML currently do not have stock. So any other alternatives without messy cables?

BZSAB,

Welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay here... :)

Re: BMW Greenie

Hi BZSAB..

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your new ride....

For window tints, you may even consider Nanolux which is rather cost effective.

A for the IPOD, without the interface, you will be looking at a Cassette adaptor or a RF modulator. Both will not have the same results as an IPOD interface. That IMO is the best to offer sound quality.

Good Luck

My E90 is able to play mp3 from the CD player, so in the end i did not get the IPOD interface... :)

Re: BMW Greenie

Hi All,
Thanks for the advices! By the way, I saw someone mention the name Peter Seow in another Thread (dont remember where I saw it now). If he is the Peter Seow I know from way back, Club 24982 should ring a bell.

Re: BMW Greenie

You can opt for the Dension IceLink. But it costs a bomb. If your cd playe reads MP3s then you probaly could make do till then.

Re: BMW Greenie

Welcome to the bright side of life, ie switching from the 3 pointer star to the Blue Roundel haha...

Re: BMW Greenie

From the test drive I had at PML, I am sure the beemer will be an exhiliarating ride. With the reliability issues I have been reading, I hope I have made the rite decision. The 3 year service inclusive warranty sealed the deal for me!

Regret I can't make the meetup this weekend; taking advantage of the holidays next week and going on a short vacation. Hope to hang out with you guys next time

Nothing.. just to remind myself that PML aftersales service sucks. Enjoy ur ride.

Re: BMW Greenie

Well, quite frankly, the Sales person at PML servicing me was extremely professional and helpful. But I guess it is the "After Sales" that matters; crossing my fingers!

On another note, I am a little confused! Information overload! Reading alot about grooming for new cars but still dont know what to do and which groomer to go to. It will be great if someone could advice on the following

Re: BMW Greenie

continued...

1. How long after taking delivery should I consider sending new car for grooming
2. What services do I go for (i.e. polish, seal, ..... etc.)
3. What about leather care?
4. Which is better, SFC or Groomworks? I guess its a matter of preference; correct me if I am wrong!

Do advice
