BMW E60 Headlights

Hey bros do you know where can i purchase rep front lights or originals with reasonable prices. Because ive checked with the workshops around probably cost about 1.4k to replace both sides. The main wires in the light module are fried so my mech told me this is a very common issue in sg because of the weather. Not sure whether is there a way to salvage it because everytime i start my car there will be a checklight indicating that my front lights are faulty. My highbeam and angel eyes(already dead) are not functioning as well except for my main xenon light. Any suggestions?

Re: BMW E60 Headlights

Exactly the same thing happened to me. The light bulbs are probably still ok - like mine. You need to insulate the exposed wires that are causing the short. If you cannot get the exposed wires, you would need to remove the headlight and look (behind) inside the headlights by opening up the primary and secondary cap. You may have to cut the exposed wires and insert insulator (heat shrink) and reconnect them - just twist them back together and cover with insulation tape. Careful not to disturb the wires that are unaffected. Hope this helps.
