i find it more hard to believe the kind of service they are getting over there compared to the suck a55 PML standard here. They ctually acompensated him some cash + rebates after his engine blew up. With the amount of cash we pay for our cars, we dont even get that bit of 'red carpet' treatment even for the premium automobile like the M3. i know jack, it must really suck. If thats the extent of support the BMW dealership in other countries is giving, then what in the hell is PML doing with their thumbs in their a55? Envious but sadly nothing we can do.

I think its the overused term of supply and demand...
the demand for BMWs is there.. everyone want to own one.... any BMW, as long BMW can already..
To many people, its a sign of "arrival", plus with the good looks, great drive, one could say BMW has an unbeatable formula... forget merc, forget audi... BMW is the one...
so with this kind of mentality in the populace, if you were PML, would you care?
from a pure ruthless business point of view, I wouldnt care if I were PML... as long got people buy can already..
Again, that is myopic thinking - they will lose customers...
But to be honest, I still find it hard to imagine life without a BMW.. so you see, PML still wins.

His just lucky. My 325 broke down in Canada after a week of collection. I was provided with a loaner that's it. No rebates or cash.

maybe perhaps the 335i is too new a car that they dont want any bad reputation. SO they probably compensated him to keep him contained..You get the picture..Money has always been a great incentive.

Nuke........... dont like that lah... me just giving example only.... thats the thinking of a lot of people who love BMW and dream to own one... seriously you got hear of people dream car audi meh?
thats the people on the street.... of course, we all know audi builds great cars... understated but wonderfully complete...but fact remains, it doenst make boys "dream and drool" as say an M3 or a porsche... facts of life right?

yes, very true. Our local dealers are taking it for granted that we have no choice but to return to them for our purchases and servicings. A friend of mine just bought a new SL550. OMV i think around 135k which means cost to agent around 300k. He paid 435k for it. Sigh......At least the agent seems to be improving their service standards. Nowadays got more loaner cars for owners whose rides are in for warranty repairs...
