BMW 1 series paint protection

Hi

New to the forum.
Just got my 116d recently.
Have some questions on paint protection

1. Is it necessary?
2. Any recommended workshops? I searched the forum and I only found Revol.
3. What kind of protection (ceramic?) do you recommended or have done for your own car
4. Which is advisable? Getting a package or just one time
5. How long does the protection usually last

The paint protection is good to keep your paint like new for long time. Depend if you hope to do so.
I do my protection at CS2 and even the basic protection is good enough to me. Unless u are extremely want to go with ceramic, glass or event titanium protection.
Even with the paint protection... u will still to take care the car anyway.
