Bluetooth that connects to i-Drive

InCarTronics, formerly EuroCarPhone

According to the site, the mod lets you connect your phone using bluetooth to the i-drive, so that you can use the handsfree phone function in your car. Has anyone tried this before?

I wrote to the supplier, and price is USD 899/set, and they said that they have sold a few sets to Singapore. Any of the bros here have done it?

Is this an option that we can install at PML and what's the cost?

Re: Bluetooth that connects to i-Drive

this is probably not very helpful, but i think there is a factory bluetooth option because my phone automatically connects thru i-drive. you just need to pair the devices using the i-drive menus and your phone. think it can store up to 3 pairing from memory but only one phone will work at a time

Re: Bluetooth that connects to i-Drive

I am getting my first Beemers soon and wish to have this function too.
Ipod connection and Bluetooth connection for my mobile seem like a must for me.
For price US$899 which equivalent to SG$1366 without shipping is way too expensive.

I think one of our sponsor here is selling similiar products close to the above prices.
Perhaps you may check with them.
At least you have the assurance of local fitting and any issue you may get refund straight away.
:)

correct, & it works extremely well. it also "picks up" the phonebook to display on the i-drive.

wow... that's kindof ex! Has anyone done it with mobycar? I tried checking with them but like no response from them.

I have the same function in my merc C, and it works very well, which is why I'm thinking of putting it into my E60. The reception and clarity in the merc is superb. How about the original bluetooth in BMW? Is the reception and clarity good as well?

Thanks MaxPower! I'll go check it out with PML.

BTW, your handsfree kit is the bluetooth wireless type, or is it the type where you need to connect your phone to a cradle that they fix in your car?
