Bluetooth Not Working ...

I just bought an O2 XDA Zinc phone over the weekend, and now I'm having sleepless nights trying to get this new phone's bluetooth to work with the one that's factory fitted (i.e. phone control via iDrive's built-in bluetooth). Anyone has got any experience trying to get it work?

My previous XDA all worked with my car's bluetooth (02 XDA II and Dopod 900), but this new O2 XDA Zinc is ripping my hairs off. :screwedu: Anyone got the new O2 Flame? Any good experience to share? At most I give up this Zinc & go and buy the new O2 Flame ... sigh, should have asked all the bros here first before trying some new gadgets lar...

what is the issue? is it ---

- not handshaking with the idrive? or
- it is handshaking but not downloading your contacts to the idrive?

It gets connected with the signal showing up (i.e. handshake is ok), the contact list shows up, but when I try to make a phone call, the bluetooth just fail terribly, and then disappear altogether.

I heard Dopod 838Pro works well with the bimmer's integrated Bluetooth car kit. Anyone using a Dopod 838Pro can testify before I dump this O2 XDA Zinc? I'm forced to buy a new phone, no choice lar!!!

i'm not familiar with this phone, but if the manufacturer offers a software upgrade for it, do it & try again. i had a similar problem with my se990i. the software upgrade solved the problems. the issue appears to be with varying standards of bluetooth being used today.

hope it helps.
