Almost new official unit imported by PML from BMW Europe. All electric connection cables etc are brand new and never opened. Its a great bike rack and very solid to drive (even at speed) with and securely holds two bikes which are easily mounted/dismounted. The unit is LTA approved. I used it with a X5.
From the BMW website: This rear carrier does not require a trailer hitch, can transport two bicycles and is designed for attachment to the two towing eye sockets in the rear bumper so no installation kit is required. The carrier can be tilted back, with or without bicycles attached so the tailgate can be opened. Special mounting screws and locks deter theft and the bike holder is lockable for additional security. A foldaway design allows storage of the empty carrier in the luggage compartment. Bicycles are easy to load because they only have to be lifted about 12 inches.
