I just managed to get a deep 3-4cm long scratch on my side mirror.

anyone can recommend a good way to improve this or fix the scratch? any good groomers or shops that can cover it up?

thanks!

Re: best way to remove deep scratch??

i guess it depends on how deep and how wide is the scratch.

don't despair, i thought i needed a respray when a cat scratched my car(could see white primer underneath) but i managed to polish it away. although i now need fillers to mask the "scars" and it can still be seen under bright light from certain angles, most people don't notice it; in fact, no one has pointed it out to me yet. muahaha

so if a black car can be salvaged, there is still hope for you. maybe.

in the meantime, if you can see metal or primer underneath, i suggest you cover it with some wax to prevent rust during this rainy season. no car wax use candle wax also can... i'm serious.

It's quite deep and pretty thick, running fingers over it can feel it defintely. any idea if using those paint touch up that comes in a tube can work?

aiyoh. heart pain.

it'll still be obvious even if you use touch up paint.

anyway, touch up paint costs ard $20 from PML so might as well repaint your side mirrors at yew lip or something. they quoted me ard $150 for my whole rear fender IIRC so i suppose a teeny tiny side mirror would be a lot cheaper.

thanks for the info, repainting might be an option if i get really irritated by it.
