Beaches in Kota Tinggi - any?

I was wondering whether anyone is familiar with some beach areas in Kota Tinggi. On the map there are some places like Temalah Beach and Jason Bay, but wondering whether they are hotels or just a public beach area.

I am looking for some beach area for kids to play for few hours, while I can relax . I have been to Desaru but prefer something closer. Any suggestions?

Hiadee, when people talk about kota tinggi, most will think of the water fall there. Where got beach?

hahaha yeah kota tinggi is for the water fall, no beaches. something closer than desaru? go bintan loh. the downside is that you can't drive there and its more expensive.

How about places like Sedili Besar Cape and Leman Cape? Are they places where people visit? Or just the rural village areas?

How about Selantai Cape and Resang Cape area just above Mersing? There seem to be some hotels up there.

Why don't u drive up there to have a look? Worst case scenerio is end up at Desaru again loh.

We are pretty similar to California in the summer, plus extra humidity, minus . One of the must-see places on the planet of earth!

We didn't make it - due to conflicting schools exam schedules, etc. Hoping to drive to Kuantan towards end December. Although it is monsoon season, hope it will good.

BTW, just gay boh, when you say Desaru are you means Only Desaru? have you heard/been Bayu beach?

Kuantan trip didn't happen (yet). Haven't been to "Bayu beach", only to those beaches behind hotels in Desaru area.

Bayu beach is some distance away from Desaru, more remote but cleaner beach with toilet/washroom/bath facility. There's a resort right in front of the beach

Not sure if you tried this. From Changi point. there is a ferry to the Eastern part of Johor...if not wrong it is called Tanjong Pengelih. Some actually use this to en-route to Kota Tinggi. Much shorter route. Along the way, there are many rustic kampongs that will bring back memories of 1960-70's Singapore. Stalls still selling ice kachang using hand-grind machine. Chickens running all over the place.
