Is your One Headlight sapping up too much power? Just kidding.

When is the last time you change your battery? Perhaps it is time to change one. Cost is about mid-hundred on the maintenance-free type.

my battery died on me at 2 yr 6 mth of owning my car, call pml emerg hotline, the service car came to my place and assist me on re-starting my car.

while checking pml service car guys confrim my car still under warrenty for 36 mth, as well as my battery, did some load test confrim my battery condem already, did another visual & load test to confrim.

replace my battery FOC on the spot. :laughlik:

YM2002 E46 320.

so save your $$$ money, try to condem your battery before your warrenty run out.
 "like just turning on oneheadlight overnite" haha....

all this just happen 1 month ago, so i think you should be covered.

cheers

wah battery also under warranty? hmmm....

Never heard of batteries being under warranty before. However, one should bear in mind that if you have ICE in your car, you should change the battery to run a deep cycle battery like the Optimas. However, those are also more expensive, but in my opinion, well worth the money.

my car got ICE also, maybe that is why my battery up the lorry faster.

anyway no harm trying before your warrenty expire.

mine is true, it happen 2 days before the cameron trip, i thot die cannot go cameron with the group already. wanted to jump start the battery but don't know how to open up the battery compartment. so LL call PML emerg hotline.

the last time before the battery change, i called them 2 time before cos i was out of town. car not started for 2 week so "truck truck truck" sound car cannot start.

but then the new battery still follow the warrenty of the car. so i get 6 month warrenty. if you buy the battery from PML they also give warrenty of 12 month.

if your car got ICE, their advice is to get a bigger battery, my car E46 320 - using A70, if you were to buy get the A80. i think the price for A70 is abt $250 & the A80 is abt $310. there about. (whatever the Axx means it means a bigger battery).

for me it was a one to one. can't complaint. i think mine was a clear case of defect cos on visual inspection all the lead plates in the battery was warp badly. our battery should last up to 36 mth.

so don't waste your $$$.

cheers

IMHO...unless your car's ICE is loaded for bears (which means you exceeded 1000w overall) then its wiser for you to invest in a deep cycle battery cos they store more energy and allows you to play your system without worry about battery drain. The have the ability to discharge and charge many time as compared to normal wet cells.

On my previous car, my total system wattage was around 1200watts...I used the Varta Blue Dyanmic and battery lasted more than 2yrs. I am impressed...normally battery in my car 9 months max kaput one. The current ride cos the battery has been relocated to below the seat...hence troublesome to change...I put in a yellow top Optima.

Dun just rush out to purchase a larger battery...remember to check if your alternator ampere (the A that u are asking about) can support the bigger amp of the new battery or not. If not its like using a single tap to fill up a swimming pool...it will get filled eventually...just the question of when only.

You may upgrade your alternator to take advantage of the bigger capacity battery.

Ghostrider,

i prob dont need a bigger battery. Now only have 2 amps... 170rms x 2 per amp...so shoud be still safe..

but thanks anyhow..u shud be very happy with the yellow optima :)

Agreed, but when I had my ICE in my car the last time, I was running close 2500watts, so the battery and alternator was a necessity. But even after I took the ICE out, I found that with the battery, the car cold starts easier and the feels better in general somehow... my 2 cents.
