Back in Singapore after 13 years..... 4 BMWs later

Hello everyone!

Just returned to Singapore to from the US. My goodness, I had not realized how difficult it was to get a used car. In the US it was so easy to buy one. I guess over here, if you have the money, everything is easy to do!

Anyway, I was a proud owner of a 92 325i which i had from 2001 to 2005. But never really did any serious things to it. Everything was just aesthetic. I then sold that and bought an 88 325 (not an "i", just 325). I can't even begin to list the things I did to that one.

I also had a 98 M3 (with the castrated US S52 engine), and a 03 330i ZHP. SO I miss my cars. Thankfully they are all in the hands of happy Bimmer fans.

So I ask, where can I get a late model e30, 5-spd, with the M20 engine in it?

Martin.

And in the true American fashion, I did all the mods myself. Let me know if you're interested, I'd be more than willing to share.

I think my first step before buying another car would be to figure out how to drive on this side of the road first!

Martin.

Hi Mocknbrd,

Yeah, that's what people have been telling me. It's going to be tough. I've been looking at sgcarmart, and unfortunately there aren't many at all. I was wondering how easy it would be to import car parts from Malaysia or Indonesia. There was a 87 325i automatic on sgcarmart. But I wasn't all too intent on doing the auto to manual conversion. Still, it's rather straight forward. The most difficult parts to get would be getting the driveshaft and the manual tranny box.

You have to understand, the 88 I used to drive, had check control and ABS. I went to look at a 316i automatic a few weeks ago. I could not believe that the 91 did not come with ABS! Yikes!

You're in Lang Fung Repbulic?
