Automatics back sun shade

Hi guys, did anyone install the automatic sunshades to your rides? I have seen the remote controlled type. Can it be fitted to the e46? Anyone knows where to get it?

Hello!

The automatic rear sunshade is real expensive, costing S$1k+ cuz gotta run the electrical wires all the way to the front just to control the sunshade...

DIY your own... like Ryan! Would love to put up the link for that but the link's broken... ryan's trying to get them working again!

No there isn't. The only ones that BMW have at the moment is a button activated one, at th dashboard, just above the ash-tray, where a row of buttons should be.

guess have to scrap the idea. i saw one chap installing the remote one on his passat. Thought the bimmer have similar type. Thanks.

There are many 3rd party brands that use wireless remote style although the lenght and fitment might not be perfect.

My friend has one that he bought in an accesory shop in malaysia.
