You can never get all the oil out of the auto gearbox if you do not do either:
1. Use ATF changer and run a raised car while swapping the fluid
2. Strip the grear box completely apart
If you just remove the drain plug, about 75% of the fluid will drain out leaving 25% still within the pipes and plates.
Therefore 2.5-3L should sound about right 2L is a little low. Suggest you bring it down to a local BM familiar workshop to check the level of the oil just in case.
