oh ok, thanks. so when i change my ATF, what are the brand/type of ATF should i change to??? i am looking at something that can make the tranny smoother and can withstand high temp or lower the temp of the tranny. is Redline ATF suitable for my tranny??? TIARacebred said:if your tranny checklight has never come on before then dont touch it. EGS will switch to limp home mode once 145 degrees is reached in your ATF. nobody ever easily reaches that temp on the road. adding an ATF cooler will only tax your whole system. it's like a nudist with a new underwear - you'll never get to use it.
oh, my intention is to have a soomther tranny and the temp in the tranny to be lower. thanksMRacer77 said:Snow... What is it that you want to accomplish with your car? You need to think about where you want to go first then plan how to get there. Then from there you will know what you need and what you don't.
oh, didnt know its like that, thanks for advising. so what brand/type of ATF should i change to?Racebred said:if your atf temps are lower than what it is now, you'll probably have very rough gearchanges. a total opposite of your objective.
alright thanks. any recommendation as to what brand/type of ATF should i change to?? i hope to change to a good ATF that can make the tranny smoother, thanksMRacer77 said:If you don't drive the car hard then stick to the stock one. It is sufficient.
