hi, izzit advisable for me to install a ATF Cooler as i dont track??? what is the pro and con of having a ATF Cooler?? TIA

if your tranny checklight has never come on before then dont touch it. EGS will switch to limp home mode once 145 degrees is reached in your ATF. nobody ever easily reaches that temp on the road. adding an ATF cooler will only tax your whole system. it's like a nudist with a new underwear - you'll never get to use it.

Snow... What is it that you want to accomplish with your car? You need to think about where you want to go first then plan how to get there. Then from there you will know what you need and what you don't.

oh, my intention is to have a soomther tranny and the temp in the tranny to be lower. thanks :)

if your atf temps are lower than what it is now, you'll probably have very rough gearchanges. a total opposite of your objective.

If you don't drive the car hard then stick to the stock one. It is sufficient.

The curent gearbox for the 3 series is already very very smooth.. gear change is fab, how smooth u want it to be??.. in the end there still will be fricton. like wat Mracer77 sed If you don't drive the car hard then stick to the stock one. It is sufficient. Don't go wasting ur money and time.

My 2 cents worth .
