ATF change and post change procedures

Today while I was examining my ride inside out again at my car park ..... I have realized that an ATF oil change is not just about opening the plug, drain and dropping the pan etc.

Apparently the BMW process includes resetting the ATF oil collective data. It tells the ride that the oil is new and it reset the data surrounding the deterioration rate of the ATF ......

This is followed by a series of procedures to resets the learned and learning values of the transmission......

If you plan to change out your ATF etc ...... Don't forget about this.

I didn't see this process when replace atf lerr.
MBM, BCC even my friend workshop also nvr did this.

It was very atas Komoco. . . . a reputable + reliable workshop with aircond, have coffee machine with cappuchino, sometimes got sponge cake, biscuits, balloons, booby sales. Big building , next to Ferrari workshop, Harley Workshop.

It's not Ak teck, ah keong, it was ah kom workshop

So far I never see including my own ride so I did it myself yesterday .....

But normally the workshop will do all these right?

I think it will affect the transmission adaptation values .... I saw the actual stats yesterday and I believe its a factor.

What is the purpose of this function and if we don't do it
