The Corrado was to replace the earlier Sciroccos IIRC.

I owned one of these before. G60 Supercharged - i think 140bhp. The active rear spoiler was cool - then.

The Corrado was built from around 89 to 95. A number of my friends had them when I was in uni in the States in the early 90s.

The two engines of interest were the G60 (supercharged 1.8L "G-Lader") and SLC (using the 2.8L Golf VR6 engine).

A friend of mine used to have a red G60 in Singapore - I remember him sending it to BVO for service in the late 90s. Think it got exported in the end. IIRC there are no more left in Singapore. Even overseas, many have fallen into the Max Power/ HIN camp.
