saw this on another car forum.

the person selling it says it's LTA legal because its matt but.... looking at the pics, it doesn't look matt at all lei

price is quite reasonable though, so just thought i would share.

ok just called him and he assured me that he spoke to a Mr Yeo, who's an LTA engineer and the chap said no prob. he also claimed he sent a customer's car for 3rd year inspection with the plates and the chap passed.

so anyone else interested? he said lowest he can go is $55 if we get 5 people. $55 for both front and rear, doesn't matter how many digits in your number plate, still same price...

i'm damn gu niang when it comes to making decisions like this lah. i took 1.5 years before buying my car lor, and another 7 months before i bought my exhaust...

i just want to make it very clear that I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THESE ARE LEGAL. i'm simply relaying the conversation i had with him. i think its best you guys give him a call to assess for yourself the veracity of his claims.

i do not want to be held responsible for any trouble/fines you incur because i'm not making anything out of this deal yar? i'm just saying, if got 5 people, he'll charge $55, if not, i pay another $5 also no big deal to me, at most do one more car survey only....

i did ask ard, they say its legal by LTA
dis is according to the owner themselve.

group buy has been finalised and your details have been forwarded to the vendor, Melvin Tan(hp: 91737711).

he will be calling you to confirm the details but if you don't receive a call, i suggest you double check with him yar?

no deposit needed, so its COD. its $55 inclusive of installation. It'll be ready on wednesday night and we have to go down individually to potong pasir to have it installed.

He also offered the option of a group install if we can agree on a place and time as a group.... you guys can meet at my shop at Sin Ming Autocentre, unit 05-10 if you want since the next BMW meetup is a long time away... but let me know first.
