I've seen non-M models in Munich.

Though you would still need to get your car adopted. This is a decision by BMW Group Asia and not by the dealership....

Re: Any non-M does any servicing in BMW M workshop ?

I was there at Munich Auto last saturday for a complimentary health check. It was done very neatly, no hassle, and completed way ahead of schedule - just nice after my coffee and saturday newspaper.

I was talking to the Service Advisor, who said that they can take in any BMW for servicing, and they will also update the computer system which was linked to the PML system so that both party know what was being done and the history of your car.

It was not crowded when I was there, think only another 2 cars. Definitely shorter queue than any PML branches. The service technician are all trained for M cars, and I would assume that their skill-set shld be good and no slip-short workmanship.

I heard from James (sales person at Munich) that there is an adoption fees for PI M-cars.

Exactly !! very dangerous, but very high being there with all the M. And also signed up for the M1 preview next Sunday :dance::dance:

Heard from the sales guy at Munich that adoption fees for PI M cars is 30,000. That is if I never heard or remember wrongly.

You are right, that is the number. This adoption includes free servicing I believe which all of their M cars currently have.

Yes there is an adoption fee for PI cars.

Adoption also doesn't mean you can do it anytime you have a PI car.....There are also conditions attached. But that's for another story in itself.

Re: Any non-M does any servicing in BMW M workshop ?

Ryan and ah wei, thanks for clarifying.

Yeah, I think there is free servicing till 60,000km or more, cant relli remember the figures though. And the best thing, it covers every single wear and time item as well, except for the tyres.

Yeah the 1M preview is on 22nd Jan 2011. Heard only 1700 units will be made as the production run is 1 year and the max capacity the factory can make in 1 year is 1700 units (so little only meh??). The allocation is 20++ with 20 units being guranteed for the singapore market. The ++ will depend on BMW I guess. U getting the 1M???
