Picked up the car yesterday evening only ( was travelling )
Focused on HUD and Voice command as the rest of the stuff are similar on the F10.
The car is very quiet and pulls very strongly ..... tough next 2K km to keep it under 4K rpm
Should have optioned the B+O sound system ..... not impressed by ProLogic - even after tweaking the equalizer
The stop-start needs to get used to it ..... its not as seamless as they say
Their in-house film installer leaves a mess inside the car - dirty fingerprints on A pillar - bringing car back to let them clean it up
The steering is a tad too thick
Only thing to mod now is bigger rims .......

Hi mystic, THANKS THANKS for the quick update! I also didn't spec the B&O ... but I supposed I could still, if my backside needs scratching, since I just updated my order with more bits and pieces 2 days ago - so, my car is now pushed back to a January or February production. I finally ticked the M sport option, and later added 20" 373M rims. Is the HiFi professional really that bad?
What did your F10 have for a sound system? Logic 7?

Oh, I usually don't use PML in house tinting service - heard many things about messy job and multiple handprints. I go for old school V-Kool at the shop next to the old Bronze Carman place near Toh Guan - I'm sure you know that place

Take a listen to PML showroom car and then visit Audi and take a test drive in their S4..... and listen to the B+O...... its like "day and night". I am used to the Mark Levinson sound.
According to PML - their inhouse installer is from V-Kool.
Check your A-pillars very carefully as these guys use a very sharp plastic tool to install the film and it can scratch the cloth (which will be a big hassle to replace as the airbag has to be removed).
The lights in the PML New Delivery Room don't really show up defects inside the car.

PML Installer Vkool??
My friend who bought the 318i at 149k was told the tint gonna be some 200 cheapo type from SE.
He and me went with the 3M crystalline series instead..
Anyway, congrats on the new car!

Not implying that E90 is F13.
So are you suggesting and promoting that AD should have double standard in treating customer of what model they buy?
I am only asking if AD installer is Vkool themself, they could have offer my friend that rather than saying otherwise.
If budget is a concern, He wouldnt have gone for 1k tint instead.
There is no need to made remarks like First time buying BMW??? !!!!

not condoning that AD should have double standard
but it's very obvious in any business, sales will treat customer who spend "high" amount of purchase "differently"

I agreed that this is a common practice in Sales and many service line.
I was with my friend at PML when he collected his ride and he never asked for free tint. He asked for recommended tint.
Whatever it is, I dont think a remark as such was uncalled for.

Hmm... acherly, you are RIGHT... how come on V-kool do this ah?
Previously, my *ptooi* W203 *ptooi* was done with Rike Cool - no cut out. Then, my *ptooi* W211 *ptooi* was with Huper Optik, no cut-out. Only my previous E65 and present F02 was with V-Kool - got cut out.
Why arh? Anybody know?

because vkool film material block/intefere the IU transmitter (tested and proven)
if no cut hole, the IU wil have problem being detected by the gantry
other popular brand like 3M, Huper Optik, Rikecool, etc has no problem with IU unit

Hi Puffer, I don't want PML to add any tinting for my upcoming F13, I want to go back to my friendly V-kool guy - or maybe check out the infratint joint, but I not very ballsy - kiasi, kiasu, kia zhenghu - so, no mafia tint for me hehehe.
We will have to wait for bro mystic to update us on his tint experience...

Cannot find any "cutout around the ERP reader"
The film has 'settled in and there are no more bubbles or wavy lines" That is good.
Took the car out this evening (for the first time) and there were lots of fingerprints in the rear windscreen INSIDE the car....clearly visible when other cars headlights shines in ..... that is bad.
The installer is really so slipshold

My F02 has that cut out - kinda makes it look ugly, but I have to admit, the V-Kool does cut out a LOT of heat & my wife's stopped complaining about her pigmentation hahaha.
Can you keep us posted on how the 3M Crystalline film performs please - might go for that instead if it's any good.
Hope the fingerprints wipe off cleanly - and, how is the finish @ the rear windscreen - wouldn't that raking, sloping roofline with the windscreen radiator heating lines usually cause a lot of bubbles with the tinting at the rear screen?

My car certainly dont have the "cut-out"
Did some cleaning yesterday ...the rear windscreen is so rakish ... i have a hard time trying to reach the base of the windscreen. Best to monitor installer if anyone is thinking installing theirs outside. (Wud suggest) leave it to PML to install it
