Another new member reporting

Hi, people.

Just join the forum today. I am not driving a beemer now but I am starting to look at various makes like Beemer, Merc, Audi for my wife use. Most probably will get a used car. I hope to get more information on beemer and perhaps it will help to determine what I want to get. Of course, it will ultimately depend on my wife liking. So far, her general comments about the 3 makes.

Beemer: She said that it may catch fire (years ago, her friend beemer catch fire)
Merc: Uncle
Audi: boring

So you see, it is quite difficult to get what she like.

I am driving a Euro R now and I noticed that a pal of mine (Panaracer also driving Euro R) just gotten his 525i. I will keep the Euro R, hopefully till end of COE.

Enough blabbing... Have a good day, people. :)

i think u meant "she will be on fire"?

Re: Another new member reporting

Welcome.

I think he meant a black E36 on fire - happen few yrs ago caught in stomps.
New bimmer

Re: Another new member reporting

really depends on condition of the car and the amount of TLC the owner gives it..

if u dun do jack to the car, dun change cylinder oil, dun top up water, dun service, anything can happen. not just to a bimmer or merc.

Re: Another new member reporting

My mum used to say to my dad 'how come the car only has problems when you drive it'?

In fact, the problems were always there and my mum just never realised they were there... she would continue to drive a car till it won't move.... lol...

So yes, bad things can happen to the best cars if they are not maintained.

yes yes. u hang on to her mate. its good to have a gal that respects the car as more than a means of transportation from point A to B.

maybe ur wife can teach my gal a thing or 2 about not clipping the side of my scuff plate with her Manola Blahnik shoes and later goes, "its just a piece of plastic as suppose my leather shoes!!!"

Re: Another new member reporting

Hey bro Wyv9,

Welcome aboard.

Hope you are enjoying yourself here liao.

The three cars you are looking at are all great cars in their own rights.....

It actually boils down to what kind of 'drive' you like, what image you want to project and probably resales value.

Audi is out on the third consideration

It now boils down to 2.

Your wife says uncle, Ah Peh or mature man's car for the Benz, so I guess you are a young couple, happily married with 2 kids, yet want a fun and fulfilling ride.

Now, put the fire issue behind you, because any car can catch fire..... she jux happens to see the Bimmer, that's all.

Answer is quite clear....... go get behind the wheels and feel it..... feel the ride, the power, the kick-in, in short...... the Sheer Driving Pleasure.

Let us know the good news soon........:woottt: :woottt: :woottt: :woottt: :woottt:

Cheers

PS. Sori for correcting bro.... its Bimmer not Beemer......I also spelt wrongly the first time..hehehehe

Bro,

I am sure she didn't see the pain we feel when certain parts, however minor, got dirty. But we can't blame her, if her interest is not exactly there. You put your unwashed fingers on her Birkin Bag and see what happen.......hahahaha

Anyway, got to talk nicely to her on the pain you feel. Illustrate with the Birkin example....maybe she will understand.....who knows

Cheers
