Another E36 gem unearthed

Re: Another E36 gem unearthed

Anyone know what that black circle on the inside of the passenger door is? Tweeter perhaps?

Looks quite clean but would need a bit of work IMHO -- wrong wheels, badge in wrong place, turn signals don't match etc. At least it looks pretty straight, and the mileage is believable. Probably an honest example of a nice future classic.

Did E36 coupes come with manual windows? I thought the E30 was the last to have those blanks.

Re: Another E36 gem unearthed

no E36 has electric windows. could be a tweeter but the position seems weird. i dun think its anything to worry about though. important is the engine!

Re: Another E36 gem unearthed

242k km... would need a serious engine rebuild, a look at the gearbox, exhaust system, suspension etc. Prob S$20k or more...?

Re: Another E36 gem unearthed

6 cylinder coupe is damn rare. What spoiler is that? Doesn't look OEM..

Re: Another E36 gem unearthed

IMHO, cosmetically, only two ways to do up this car...

1) go back to original specs i.e. hunt down the OEM 15 inch alloys (slightly different from the ones on the sedan -- coupe ones has slightly curvier spokes), remove spoiler, go back to orange signals etc.

2) go to M3/ 318is look -- hunt down M tech bodykit, change to white signals, M or BBS 17 inch alloys. Would still remove that spoiler.

Probably paint to white, red or black for either version. Maybe grey for the M3 look.

Full mechanical rebuild with either route.

Hmmm...
