I do not remember how much I paid for it, but the installation is going to cost abt 120. BVO's ah wee can do it for you. I had the relay changed once, other than that so far so good.

Thanks for the info. Will try to contact Barry. I find it useful as it will be easier to tell if I have locked my car or not.. I've walked back to my car umpteen times, to check if I've remembered to lock it... haha

Go to Ah Wee to do it. My ex-car was the 1st in Singapore to get it done and Ah Wee tapped the relay switch to the interior lights so whenever the interior lights are on, the CCFLs turn on.

Cool mod but be advised that pple would come up to u and tell you that ur lights are on when u lock your car.

Btw, is it the same kit for all BMW models? I'll need one each for my E39 and E46. So I'll get 2 sets if we do a group buy. Anyone interested please let me know so that we can get things started.

The relay should be the same for all models. U should ask JLevi for confirmation. But I didn't realise u can tap the relay to the E39 though...

Try Juzz4Cars to see if they do since they do have angel eyes for our rides.

I am also interested. It is only USD10 (b/f shipment) according to the website but if the installation is $120 ... a bit expensive leh. Can I suggest that we ask for a copy of the installation guide and see how difficult it is. May be it is a simple process.

U have to find the interior light wires, splice them and then run the relay to the left side of ur car and then hooking up to CCFLs. I suggest u get an expert to do it.

I second that, get an expert to do it. You will need to be careful cause water might get into your electronics if it is not properly done.

I just diy-ed this 2 days ago with the relay i got from Barry looooong time ago. It would be a damn simple job if not for the fact that we have right hand drive cars and the steering mechanism gets in the way of the grommet where you push the wire into the cabin to tap the footwell light.

I would be interested if the DIY is a simple job. But if have no choice but to use an expert to instal at a cost of $120, then this is to expensive
