Look at the cars at the airport. Here's an airport worker taking pictures with his cellphone and posting it at the forums....

Teasers:

Lots of Audi R8s

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

makes sense that the nicest cars get air-lifted rather then by slow-boat

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

wonder how many GTOs are there in the world already?? must be less than 20... chio

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

Well honestly,

1.) North America is much bigger than Singapore
2.) Cars are WAY cheaper

I see no reason to envy them, well maybe the fact that cars and houses are much cheaper :)

Anyway I remember someone or I read somewhere that we have more Ferraris and Lambos in our tiny country PER capita as compared to most countries including North America...

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

I find the R8 a little .... unemotional ....

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

true true... the gto is the emotional one...

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

fighting in a market with the upcoming Maser GT Coupe, the 911 family, the Aston V8, I'm sure that the R8 will not perform well. Luckily for them, USA has so many Audiphiles. And the world press really pump up the R8 publicity.

So the cars belong to the ALMS drivers or visitors or both?

Before every ALMS race they got a parade right? When all the owners of... say, Ferrari, take their cars and drive a couple of laps around the track???

Wow, what a nice time to show off.

Re: America the freaking rich - look at all the cars shipped in Los Angeles International

both drivers and visitors, but any car you can think up is there.. i don't even bother taking photos because they're there all the time, and not just alms races. it just happens their marques are most represented there, so they have the largest turnout of the marque-heads.

not always a parade lap, in fact i've yet to see an alms parade lap of non race cars
