Aluminium Brake Drums?

anyone heard of these before? for my humble E36 4-potter.. have seen some of these for jap cars... thought of asking if anyone's got experiences with these before.mine looks ..well..used.. alternatively..i could just take em off and clean it up and respray with heat-resistant paint..

i could..i've got the parts..quoted about $300 for labour (!!) just thought it was more for looks if i did that... cos the puny engine doens tput ut enough power to warrant rear disks.... but yeah..eventually i may be pvercome and just do that anyway.. might even try to DIY to save some moolah..... principles dont sound difficult..

anyone tried it yet?..

U wanna spray ur drums?? Come over to my place..I'll do it for coffee...
Me kinda wanna swap drums to disc....wanna do it together?...from what I noe u have to change the whole assembly at the rear...true?

yup..most of the rear's gotta be chamnged..like control arms and all its associated hardware..

as for spraying..yeah man..thinking of that as a erm..last resort!!...i think i'll the paint first...then see how!!!..
