Alternator for E90 320i

My 2006 320i battery warning light up and disappeared intermittent. My WS said is alternator failing soon. My car mileage is 164k. Left only 2yrs+.
Any bros changed the alternator for their 320i? Care to share how much you spend so I used as a guide. Only local WS.

Did the WS have the alternator load tested and also confirmed it's not the voltage regulator or battery ?

If voltage regulator uplorry, everything will shut down.

True when up lorry ...... But sometimes it half up lorry then voltage cannot regulate at 12v so end up the dash once in a while show error.

Cheaper than replacing entire alternator so no harm checking it out.

If voltage regulator uplorry, everything will shut down.

The charging voltage. Fluctuate from 12V+ to 14V+ at constant rpm. When the error pop up, the voltage is less than 10V.
BTW, I had replaced the alternator, so far no more error. Previously a 20mins drive the error will pop up 3-4 times.
