just returned from servicing, pml wouldn't change my brake pads because the rotors are not stock. (they will only change provided i change the rotors back to stock.)

so just wondering what are the some of 3rd-party brake pads that you guys like? the only one i know is mintex and i'm not sure if they make pads for beemers.

Sorry if I am hi-jacking the thread, but it's somewhat on a related note.

Is it true that the BMW stock brake pads produce more carbon dust than other OEM/Aftermarket brake pads?

RaidenGear - YES

Sapience - Ferodo DS2500

Beware that alternative pad, like Cool Carbon, ECB, etc. giving less dusts has a tendency to squeal if you don;t bed properly and mechanic does a shoddy job (not enough anti-squeal and high-temp grease on caliper assembly).
I'm on Cool Carbon, great pad, low dusts, but squeals after 2 months....
I applied some lithium grease then serious bedding, so now squeal reduces by 90%.
Be prepared for squeal for less dusts unless mechanics apply liberal amount of higi-temp grease at caliper assembly, rings, clips, etc.....
