This is only applicable to 525 model that is purchased from airshow

If you are experiencing vibration through the steering wheel at speeds in excess of 60km/h, or pronounced vibration through the steering while cornering, please read on.

I have been experiencing the above problems since i collected the car before cny. At first i suspected that the wheel was bent due to careless driving on by the airshow chauffeurs.
I sent the car to PML and they had the wheels balanced. I was informed that the rims were true and straight.
However, the issue was not resolved.

I then sent my car back to PML for this issue. Apparently they had 3 testers test drive the car and lied to me that the car was fine. Only when i went down and wasted half a day there to test drive with them did they admit there is pronounced vibration through the steering.
I also learnt then that it was a common complaint amongst airshow 525 owners.
Long story short, No matter how many times the wheels were balanced there is still vibration.

I then left the car for them to do furthur testing at my inconvenience.
And now, my car has been and still is sitting at PML for 1 whole week for a simple wheel balancing issue. They have put on god knows how much mileage on my car, and even had the audacity to charge me for topping up the tank. PML has swapped to a set of normal tires and did their testing and came to the conclusion that there are problems with the 17" Run-Flat tires. This could be due to a defective batch or watever. My SA was suppose to check with watever department to see if they could put on a fresh set of tires but i was told it had to be at my cost.

I find the way they are handling this issue to be unacceptable.

Since there seems to be a few others that have the same issues please step foward, i would like to gather names if possible(pm me please). This is just in case PML still does not provide us with an amicable solution it would facilitate in escalating this issue to the local media should the need arise

That's very terrible and unprofessional customer service from PML. I felt sorry for you.

I think the impression they are giving you is that since you bough the car at a discount, they are telling you that you have to accept some defects, take it or leave it. Obviously, they are not giving you any kinda respect.

It's an insult to customers especially when you're paying so much for a luxury car and yet you have to tolerate their nusiance.

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

Not surprising for PML to do that..if u do a search, u'll find more..

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

well the risk u ain't sure how it's been whacked / abused during that short span of usage. go bang table loh.

btw $158k?

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

sounds not fair that buying an airshow car need to fork out $$$ to repair a defect (if proven)

yeah it's so unfair, I was tempted to buy but glad that I didn't take the step forward.

I never have the habit of buyng 2nd hand goods.

Seems like PML doesnt bother about after sales service.

Emmmm...if it is a manufacturer's defect, as long as within 3 yrs' warranty period, it should be rectified by PML whether 2, 3, 4 or 5th owner right? If it is normal wear and tear, even 1st owner or -1st owner also cannot claim warranty, ya? So I guess the key question here is: what exactly is wrong with the RFT and is this covered by warranty (and not on whether it is new or is an Airshow car)....

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

doesnt mean we bought the car at a bargain price that means we have to accept a defective product

wow, if someone really got it at $158K i would be a sucker! Paid $16xK+. so far no vibration issues, not sure if i am not sensitve.

not very happy with my SA also. got to wait more than 30 mins on few incidents. til now have not gotten my spare keys..... even though was promised to get it after CNY. not sure if he meant after 15 days of CNY.

services at mercs much much better!

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

C&C certainly has the most impressive or memorable showrooms cos my elder daughter is still asking me to bring her to visit them lol

TS may want to ask a few more experienced brothers to check out the car during the monthly meet-up to see if the vibration is normal.

Re: Airshow 525 owners please come in

they should offer u a service car if the repair needs ur car to be in for a week or longer...i doubt they would, so u have to insist...

start capturing evidence (like ur correspondence with them, repair report) in black and white so that u can use it later to build ur case...

if after 1 month still not fix, can consider to go to CASE...
