Hi guys,

New to this forum, 2 days ago sent my 318i to kampong arang for oil servicing and engine misfired problem with some faulty parts replaced, total cost $1016.

And today i noticed the aircon fan speed "no strength" , and i have it switched off and on it back again later, it back to normal.
I dont know will it happen again...

any advise?

thanks

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

im thinking that i should go back to PML and make a complain after servicing they casused damage to the aircon.....:D

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

since the problem has gone away, it'll probably be a fruitless trip because the CSA can't replicate the problem. chances are, you'll even end up paying for the diagnostic test done instead...

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

hmmmmm........but im sure it will come back again since it happened once , from your experience...do u think so ? :) all these electronic things...cant be cured itself??

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

sounds like speed regulator. It may start to go fast and slow. Fortunately not that expensive, think replacement part is less than $100

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

yeah....have it replaced b4.....breakdown again??!!......here $100+ there $200+ again.......! :furious:

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

Re: aircon wind speed "no strength"

guess wat.......why so suai....my bimmer back got hit...the car was a jap car...front crushed...and my back only scratches and and dents....!!...im so busy with my car servicing and reparing?!? is car a burden.....

Re: aircon fan speed "no strength"

Also could be some resistor (or something like that). Cost $20 plus buck for the part but labour charges depends on the workshop. This part is located behind the glove compartment. Paid $50 plus GST for my ex FL 318 E46.

I have the same problem with the that car. Once in for fixes it never end there....

Good luck.
