my air con stop working g suddenly in the middle of my drive. What could be the likely problem? Any recommendation for good. Guy for repair? What is the price difference between performance motor and workshop outside ? Thanks

Easily less than half of the price if u go to the workshop outside.

Is your blower still working? If it is it could be due to the 'icing'. I just went to my mechanic to repair it.

You can try Tomika at Ubi. Look for Wesley. They managed to fix my aircon issue for $230 just 2 days ago. Got receipt to proof.
My 9 years old 200k km 3 series aircon started blowing cold air at passenger side but hot air at driver side and rear. On top of that got funny musty salted fish smell every time I start the car. The smell will disappear after 5 mins drive. I tried to top up gas for $20 and car will remain cold for 1 day only which means coolant leak somewhere.
The mechanic removed many parts to check and eventually found coolant leakage at compressor. What I like is that instead of asking me to change the whole compressor, he advised that the leak can be fixed. Left my car there in the morning and collected after work. Now car aircon like brand new.

For PML, there is no such thing as rectify and repair. They will just change out the whole aircon system regardless. Few thousand $$ ...
My advice to you is outside workshop.
