Aircon Passenger side hot air, driver side cold air.

i heard few BMW owner has aircon issue like me but their problem is Driver side bolwing hot air.

not sure that is same reason?

The passenger side vent bolwing hot air when can in stationary or traffic jam more than 15 mins. already topup

gas 1 week ago. cooling coil leak or compressor weak? maybe both.

just check what brand OEM cooling coil is recommended? i knew the compressor can be repaired but not sure

which workshop shall i approach.

You can check with one of the site sponsors to resolve this issue. Get it repair quickly . Chinese New Year is just a round the corner ...without aircon , is a no no

Common issue. If you are able to rule out a gas leak (vs. low gas), it could be the regulator valve.

In any case, get it sent to any of our good site sponsors' workshops like R2D. Bro Aaron has a good writeup here...

Cooling coil was replaced by them at a competitive price.

Update:

Decide to take action this morning so i went to Mark cool at Woodland, Mr Liang checked and suggested that replaced the coil.
i left my car over there, but 2Pm just now called me back they already taken out the cooling coil checked no leakage from there.
so far they are still working on it, Mr liang told me it was difficult to detect the leakage, the good news i dont have to replace the coil.
the bad news i still need to pay 450 for the labour cost. and i hope they can resolve my problem today.

i am mechanical Engineer, i cant believe there is no way to detect the gas leak which very common issue. i just want to share this
information to BMW owners, when you have gas leaking problem, confirm with the Workshop first before change the coil. ask them
how much do you have to pay if you cooling coil still in good condition. Mr liang is friendly but i am not sue whether he can resolve my
problem.

Don't undertsand how one side can be blowing cold and the other hot, aren't both sides connected to the same cooling circuit? Isn't the only thing that is side-specific the temp control?

Update: Apparently low gas can cause intermittent operation of the compressor that is just enuf to cool one side b4 switching off. Other possibility is some stuck water heater valve.

Same problem came again when jam at causeway link. This morning I went to Tomika and Mr Soon told me it might be the
Regulator valve. Asked for 290 to change the valve but today no time to do. Asked me come back tomorrow morning.

Brothers any advices?

Regulator valve. Asked for 290 to change the valve but today no time to do. Asked me come back tomorrow morning.
