Aircon cut off when stationary

When my car is stationary (eg traffic light) the aircon will be cut off and the blower will just be blowing 'normal' temperature air. Once I drive off, the aircon will be back. Anyone here experience such symptom?
I have done a re-vacuum and recharging of refrigerant and oil for the aircon system but the aircon is still not very cold.
What could possibly be causing it?

what model is this?

my car is not a bmw, but the c180 comes with econ mode, which stops the engine and thus the air con stops blowing.

is yours the same?

Im driving E90 LCI model.
Does not come with the econ mode.

Check the belts and the AC clutch ?

Heard from one of my e90 friend is air con coil issue, he recently changed so far so good. Facing the same problem as you now but on a e60. Mech says its a compressor or coil faulty. Quite common problem

If it is compressor or coil problem then it should be consistently not cold.
Have not checked the belts.
What is AC clutch? Expensive to replace?
