Advise please, anyone?

Hi guys, I'm new to my new ride, 118i.

Wander if I can chip up my ride, what's the max. hp gain after chip up and what's the price range. Lastly, which workshop to go to?

Thanks. :helpp!:

Hi Spaceguru,

maybe can do an ECU re-flash........hope can get 10hp more......
call Boss Motorsports or BVO or J4Car.......click workshops and help for their info.....

happy modding
cheers

Re: Advise please, anyone?

before u do that...better check with your SE what mod will void your warranty if u are the conservative type or want to fully enjoy your 3 yr warranty

Re: Advise please, anyone?

Thanks SSZone.

My new ride is coming to its 2nd yr and i'm thinking what mods can i do to hv a decent bhp (close to 200bhp if possible). Do you think its possible?

i think change car easier...the money spent to squeeze 200bhp out of your ride can be better spent....haha

Agreed............

get a 325i, 218hp and 250nm..............at least 6 cyc...

cheers

Re: Advise please, anyone?

one more thing.....the lesson learnt from most bros down here who spent alot on modding, don't expect to get back whatever u have spent modding.
there are bros who spent up to 30k on modding being stuck with their cars or have to sell at the prevailing mkt price which can't cover the modding costs.
presented to a layman buyer, the mods might not be of value so the car might not fetch a better resale value.
like what Bro ACs323 suggested, u probably get more money back selling off a 325, ie buy that instead of spending on modding the 118.

Re: Advise please, anyone?

Sorry to borrow this thread: anyway I can chip my car up to 306hp? Any workshop and cost please, thanks.

Re: Advise please, anyone?

Is our butt that sensitive to feel 10 to 20 bhp difference?
Just to share. I TCed a CRV with extra 50 bhp gain. But simply no traction and undrivable.
Demod after 2 weeks of hell driving.
On TC car, i have tried upgrading turbo, fuel pump intercooler and etc...
At the end, engine piangz with conrod shooting out of the block like superman. No choice, change block, upgrade piston and conrod. And no chance to go track it cos first kid born.

So after all these sianz times, better to stick to stock.
Just my humble 2 cts.

Re: Advise please, anyone?

After 2 page, the conclusion is:
Get E81/E87 130
or
Get E81/E88 135
