Advise on upgrade to 18s for 325ci

Hi, currently on stock rims which are 225/45/17 all round..whats e ideal size if wana upgrade to 18s wheelers? Can the rear tyre wiidth be slightly wider than e frount ie: Rear-245/40/18 and frount- 235/40/18 ?? please advise..thanks..

Current ride: E46 325ci coupe.

yes, that setup is quite common. i think 255 on the rears is possible too depending on offset

Ok... thks..but with lowering springs on the above setup will it brush against the fenders during turning??
