Advice on rims for F10

Hi.

Need advise from you Bros and Sis as to which 18 or 19 inch rims I can get for the F10 523i.
I have a budget of around $3k including tyres.

I came across Breyton Rims which I was told is Made In China but is original.
What are your views on the quality of the Made In China Breyton rims.

Thanks in advance! ;)

Re: Advice on rims for F10

Strip tyre costs from your decision making.

Tyres are more crucial than wheels in the safety aspects - hence you should set aside a decent sum for tyres before deciding on wheels.

Thanks guys. I will now set the budget for the rims separate from te cost of the tyres and will also be heading to Chin Wah tyres this weekend. I was told that they have german made rims within my budget.

Re: Advice on rims for F10

safety more important... no need change rim... use the 3k on tires alone...

Re: Advice on rims for F10

i think this will also be very nice on an F10. deep concave look.
but only comes in 20 inch.

nothing to do with the country made ,is the brand that how they QC the products
As for Breyton wheel those produced in China had lower standard of finishing compared to the those produced in Europe or Gemany.
i supposed Breyton never compromised the Safety issue.
Please dont save money on tyre, they are the only 4 contacts

Re: Advice on rims for F10

I have been thinkin about the same question and cant seem to decide between 19" & 20". After reading the postings around, it seems like 20" wheels will require lowering springs or it will look weird.

Furthermore installing third party parts may also void your 3 year warranty, hence a bit reluctant.

Nonetheless, has anyone installed 20" for their 5 series without lowering? Care to share some pics? thanks thanks :):p

So, are you getting the 19" or 20" from PML?

If not, it's also consider as 3rd party parts & will void waranty!

really?? cuz I was told by the CSA that it was perfectly ok and there will not be any issues in regards to the warranty if you only change after market rims/tyres and not others (lowering etc). In fact the CSA actually encouraged after market rims/tyres due to the costs.

bro

your ride is fierce yet understated ... nicely done! somehow reminds me of russian mafia movies

btw ... based on the posts made there ... u didnt lower your ride? it actually looks quite low (2 to 2.5 finger spacing?) ... was contemplating on the eibach prokit before ... guess this is low enough for me ~~ :)

Hi bro. I did not lower my ride. Want to keep the warranty valid ;) Anyway, like you said, after changing, it looks lower, but yet nothing was done to lower it, so best of both world I guess. In reality, I believe the rim design and profiles makes it look just nice overall.
I am using Bridgestone Potenza RE760 sports tyres with
Front: 245/35/R20
Rear: 285/30/R20
