kenntona said:First, on the straight through design. Some brothers here have criticised the loss of back pressure from executing a straight through set-up, hence a loss of low-end torque. No first-hand experience of the claim, since I have not done so. But perhaps these words might offer some comfort:
"The reality is that backpressure is the enemy. You want to keep it as low as possible. What you do want is to keep velocity up. However doing the things that keep velocity high involves slightly more backpressure under some conditions. You want to keep the gasses moving as quickly as possible to make both good torque and top end power. The perfect exhaust system would keep the gasses moving as fast as they did coming out of the cylinder and have zero backpressure. However this is impossible to achieve in the real world."
Hope this helps.

Am using only Remus muffler, hence will not be able to comment if the set-up is optimal for a straight-through design.
Cheers

yup are aware of the noise, that the case any opinion for remus and Sebring( both are semi flow right?)

pretty informative! i've used Supertrapp exhausts on my Honda Xr's in the past...but never knew they had em for cars!.. it seems to be somewhat of a custom job...doesnt seem to be a bolt-on, plug and play solution though.. but i'm damned keen to see anyone use this!!..ehhe.. the sound of a 'Trapp is sweet man....for those familiar with their applications on the Honda Xr thumper bikes...![]()

Perhaps. I am running an average 550 to 600 kms on full tank. 1.9 litres steptronic with 18" PGIIs. Mileage improved noticeably when......Turbo said:BTW, sidetrack a bit, 1.9lit step( with 18 inch) on full tank go for arnd 480km mileage, it is on a higher end.

(1) I employed a combination of drive (D) and sports drive (SD) mode;
(2) changed spark plugs (to iridium, properly gapped) and engine oil.
Just to be fair for comparison, I will reduce the weight of the car whichever way I could - like removing the spare rim (to compensate for my weight). Kekeke......
