If this were your b&b Jap car, basic 100k major servicing should be looking out for wear & tear on serpentine belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses, engine & transmission mounts, wheel bearings, CV boots, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, shocks, brake rotors. (Not mentioning the regular service items)
Given this is a bimmer in addition you would be worried ... I mean concerned about the integrity of the numerous other oil and fluid seals & hoses as extensively discussed here e.g. oil sump, valvetronic motor, engine valve, vacuum pump, crank case, ATF sump, power steering hose, coolant hoses & the list goes on ... Everyone here has his own story, for my ride the previous owner had already changed the radiator, all cooolant hoses & crankcase oil seal, in addition I have had to change all 4 shocks, rear rotors, vacuum pump, power steering high pressure hose and VC gasket and preventive change of water pump, thermostat, fuel filter.
Get a reliable workshop to do a detailed inspection, problem is that some places are hard to inspect unless you take parts out - thats how they discovered the leaking high pressure power steering hose when they were changing the water pump-thermostat - so be prepared to discover new problems even as you are attempting to rectify old ones! The other issue is to what extent do you do preventive replacement vs wait till it fail? Looking back, I think I should have preventatively replaced the valvetronic motor oil seal when replacing the VC gasket.
