Hi tuning experts,
There are several threads around on piggyback ECUs, but i haven't found 1 that does a more detail comparison and suggestion, neither one that provide suggestions for buyers of used piggybacks where they can go for their tunings and the damage.
Will be great if some experts and old birds can advice on followings for e46 320, and mainly focus on UniChip (seems most modders prefer Unichips when looking at piggybacks):
1. Unichip models (eg. 32bit + turbo vs the Q versions), which is a ok buy for use on e46 320 and which is better than the rest. Which we should stay away. What are the main difference between the models. HP/efficiency Gains expected from each models
2. Where to go for tuning in SG after buying a used Unichip (I heard of AMK Autopoint and Max and Alex). How much is the damage.
3. How to check for wear and tear (if any) on a used Unichip
4. do you need to re-tune after adding/changing certain hardware (except engine)
