Hi all,

The AC Schnitzer guys (Rainer Vogel, Managing Director and Enrico Fois, Snr Export Manager) are coming to town this week and I'm going to be meeting up with them for a short meeting plus some Q&A.

If you guys have any questions with regards AC Schnitzer, their product range or any general directions in where they're headed to in the future etc (think interview questions), please feel free to post them here and I'll collate them.

Please ask proper questions and not stuff like whether you can get a discount. Do not OT on this thread as I will remove any inappriopiate/OT posts. This has been possible by the help of Autovox (Autovox: Precision with Passion)

If there's a few of you guys who would like to meet them in person, please indicate your interest and I'll liase with them to see whether it's possible. Please note that this may or may not be possible due to timing and schedule. Thanks!

About AC Schnitzer

With the skills from success in motorsport

In over three decades of motorsport involvement, Herbert Schnitzer and his team from Freilassing have repeatedly confirmed their leading position amongst BMW race teams and tuning houses with numerous race victories and title wins.

And their know-how in "automotive engineering" has been constantly expanded: for technical advantages in racing and clear benefits on the road.

With AC Schnitzer, Schnitzer technology from motorsport is available to enthusiastic BMW drivers for everyday use.

At a level which avoids compromises necessary in mass production, without any loss of unrestricted suitability for everyday use. And with maximum quality: both in function and design, and not least in the materials used.

AC Schnitzer special developments systematically reflect this technology transfer.

In Aachen, AC Schnitzer employs a team of 55 in the new AC Schnitzer building, concentrating on the development and world-wide sale of AC Schnitzer tuning accessories and complete vehicles.

Hahahahaha Terry!

Ryan - please ask them about discounts... nothing specific but for the long term.

Enrico's colleague was the one who hosted me when I visited in 2006; they're aware replicas are flooding the Asian market and they know PML isn't actively promoting AC Schnitzer products.

Seems AUTOVOX is the new appointed distr for ACS? I just received an e-mail msg from AUTOVOX. Whatever happened between them and PML?

Re: AC Schnitzer Folks coming to town! - Got Questions? Post them here!

Seems they've 'disavowed' a number of main dealers/distributors - is there a shift in direction to start working with smaller outfits?

Any plans to bring complete AC cars to Singapore, whether on their own or through a local importer?

Get them to tell us more about their gas-powered GP3.10. Is this just a demo, or are we realistically looking at spin-offs from this project and see 'production' cars from AC in future using LPG?

What other 'green'-powered technologies are they exploring? Are there plans to shift away from gasoline gradually?

What do they think of diesel cars for touring car championships? Future plans for AC in racing?

Maybe you can slip in a joke question - why didn't they sell the V8 Topster after being offered EUR300k??? They could've built a new one with spare change.... :D
