Will be getting myself a E92 sports steering to be fixed into my E90 320i. Is it possible to add the shift paddles separately so they come together with the steering itself?

Thanks in advance!

i am serious.
he needs 2 holes at the back. if it comes with it, then just need to get the paddles and fix it in. easy
if no holes.... then only SWC can do it......

funny, we talked about holes, ho come c3po not in here yet? unless he busy with iscoupe real holes

mostly likely ur assumption is correct. the 2 of them very quiet today. too good to be coincidental.

There are two type of Sports Steering for E90/92 - one for 335i (one already with Paddle-shift and has two slots/holes behind the steering that fit the paddle-shifter) and another just a normal steering without paddle-shift (hence no holes/slots).

If you're getting the sport steering already with two slots behind, then you will need the harness and buy the paddle-shifter separately. There are two type of paddle-shifter - the original 335i type (push and pull) and the M3 type (both pull - with + and - sign). Yes, BOSS can do the installation for you.

Guess hitmee knows which hole that he is talking...haha ..

Re: Able to add shift paddles to a E92 sports steering?

Bingo!!

Correct answer!

Well explained!!

Best to buy a E92 335 SMG steering wheel.

Cutting holes totally not advisable......can look dam ugly/messy.....paddles might not sit flush into steering also.
