645Ci with Hamman or CLS350

German sex appeal.

645Ci with Hamman looks good, wonder how the CLS would look like with AMG. Both are 4 seaters and competes head to head, one a coupe 2+2 the other a 4 seater sedan coupe.

Thanks for the pics!

The CLS is a pretty new concept to me (at least), and im not so sure whether it will take off in terms of being a "sedan-coupe"..

I wouldn't buy it for the purposes of bumping people's heads when they're trying to get in the rear. I really don't know about the looks as well..

eyes look kind of pulled.

The CLS is a nice car to drive, sportier than the E class where they share the same platform. The rear seats are very comfy, just like a huge sofa. Driven one in Hannover last year, and I would think there should be alot of interest here as it beats just having a 2 doors coupe.

I haven't driven the 630Ci yet, so can't really compare the performance and handling. The CLS500 (not sure it will be in Spore) would be head to head with 645Ci, and CLS350 with the 630Ci.

From experience, the BMW usually handles better than the Merc. And a more sportier feel. But the Merc is catching up, especially with the 49% ownership in AMG and possible buy up in Mclaren.

The 645ci definitely looks the more aggressive of the 2, with its low bodykit and deep dish rims.

Like what ryan said, I'm still on the fence about the CLS, the car's boot slopes downwards, giving it a rather sedate look... still can't understand the CLS's fit in market segmentation.

:wavey:

There is one CLS500 i saw in Wishma atria carpark.. its there most of the time with another SL55 AMG :drool: both in season parking lots. personally.. i felt the interior of the SL merc is still leaning towards the >40 age group.. bottons are oval or round shaped, not edgy but smother curves interior.. plus its a heavy car.. can you imagine a SL500 performance is only comparable to 645Ci?? Not to mention, CLS500 is much heavier...
But i still love SL55 AMG.. its the ultimate sports cars.. not to mention SL65 AMG! wa.. jaw drop two times...

Hmm.. not too sure about that. i have seen it many times in the carpark.. confirm its a CLS, tot its a CL500 or CLK500, i even took a peek thru the windows to KPO.. hehehe

Next time when you go shopping with your wife, try parking in Wishma (more spacious) rather than taka. you will get to see it cos its very obvious.. patches of dried up saliva have drooled around it.. hahhaah

There could be a mistake here. I thought we attended the world launch of Merc CLS in Hannover Germany in Sept last year, where the pics were taken. At least that's what we were told at the IAA fair in Hannover. Perhaps our German language is below par ...... :) :) :) :)

Read about this website last year when first published about CLS500 available for Orders.. :) Dated 28th June 2004

Juz wat is a sedan coupe????

IMHO,
a sedan = 4 doors (4 seater)
a coupe = 2 doors (also 4 seater)
Roadster = 2 doors (2 seater)
cabrio = 2 doors (4 seater)

ok, I hav seen some car mags using these definitions loosely but in general, tis are the usual definitions......of course I know wat merc is tryin to do in dat their design and handling (?) may let the CLS feel like a coupe.

if so luan, may as well call it a sedan Roadster....whahhahahaha.

my 2 cents.

Cheers
