It's how much they can sell for in the export market. Local buyers are always fighting the export market, the global market pricing is quite well established.

Re: 6 months old audi TT

so what is the formula. need to knwo how they mark up to negotiate with them

the formula you know already.

The trick is BODY VALUE. The exporters know the body value from their exposure to international vehicle market. They then ask the 2nd hand car dealer for the car and offer the price to the 2nd hand car dealer. The 2nd hand car dealer will only sell locally if about 2-3K more profit than what they can get from the exporter, because of all the hassle of local registration etc.

So, as I said, LOCAL BUYERS ARE COMPETING AGAINST INTERNATIONAL RIGHT HAND DRIVE BUYERS.

oh Benzworld got their own strategy. They do one of them high priced, so that they can sell the lower priced ones ... by making them look good.

so its better to buy private sale cars?
100% it is better since you cut out 1-2 markup layers, but .... what price are you going to negotiate on? Still good to have a insider friend to help you out, pay him 500 bucks for his friendly help.

Re: 6 months old audi TT

I spoke with them about consigning my ride to them before placing my 545 at PPS. They ask you how much you want back and then mark up. The diff is their profit. Believe me; their mark up is high. By doing this, they are depriving the owner of a chance to sell his ride to a prospective buyer with negotiations because they hold the aces and I was told straight that they would not sell if the diff is less than 20K.

Re: 6 months old audi TT

Wah lau eh, might as well buy our Brand New Audi TT!!

For $183k,

You'll get a brand new car, with MTM stage1 ECU upgrade, 19" Neuspeed Super light weight Forged Racing Rims RS6 or RS10 & Panasonic 7" Touch screen DTS DVD player.

How??

'The Great White'

Re: 6 months old audi TT

Stock about 187K, magnetic suspension 5.8K, MTM about 2K. The only attraction is skipping the waiting period. Else, it looks too expensive.

Re: 6 months old audi TT

This TT looks great in red or jet back.

What color of TT and seat color is in your show room?

I'd say that Benzworld do seem to have nice used BMWs and Mercedes for sale. I've seen their dealers in the PML and C&C showrooms buying up used cars that owners cannot be bothered to try to sell as private sellers themselves.

So, if you are selling your car and choose to accept the trade-in offer by a PML or C&C sale executive who is perhaps getting the car on behalf of Benzworld, then it's a case of seller beware. If Benzworld's markup is as high as $20,000, then you're not going to get a good price for your car.

What are PPS's terms and conditions for consignment sale?
