got DSC light and Handbrake light and went in for a day's servicing.

fault discovered and replaced "support for switch on steering column" under warranty. includes repograming contrul unit and steering angle sensor adjustment.

btw discovered remote locking system range too short, and replaced "aerial amplifier" also under warranty.

both done at kg arang, some waiting time, but happy to be attended by a polite and seemingly knowledgeable CA Jefferey, happy to collect car by end of day.

Driving around a bit it seems that there is a difference in braking and my guess is in the Brake Assist function.

With the error messages on it seems that "Brake Assist" was off - braking seems more "normal" and I could brake to sharp stop with a little "dip" at the end. Also crawling in traffic on idle in drive while moderating with braking resulted in some rotor squeal - common in my past cars.

Once Brake Assist came back into action, all these feelings went away, the braking system is softer and smoother, and clearly without the need to control that last part of braking to avoid that little dip at the end of a stop.

Amazing technology... Brake Assist... didn't know it was there until it wasn't. Though its something that i could live without.
