Hi,

Need some advice as to why gearbox shifting is not smooth and at times, it shifts rather hard whenever I tried to do 3 point turn. That is pressed D and R and D, that is when you can felt the jerk immediately after pressing D. Any one out there had experienced this?

When you on Drive, then at traffic slow down, you slowly step hard on foot brake to stop and put Neutral, release foot brake and make sure wheels are not moving, then press hand brake. When moving off, step hard on foot brake and move gear from Neutral to Drive. If you do the above without any jerk on your gearbox, means your gear box is good.

As for your 3 point turn, you may have change your gears too abruptly and it can damage your gear box.

sounds like something i experienced previously. only when doing 3 points turn or do you also experience the same thing when slowing down to a stop or moving off from low speed?

anyway, since it is aug 2013, the car should still be under warranty. bring to PML and get them to check. if they say nothing wrong, make sure they log down your complaint.
