335iA Tuning

I've been reading up about the tuning mods coming out for the new 335iA, came across one familiar brand for the exhaust system:

Supersprint Turbo-Back Exhaust
Supersprint North America Announces Turbo-back Exhaust for 335i

Looking out for the ECU tuning chips too, AC Schnitzer should be getting theirs ready soon.

Imho, the 335iA is definitely one fun car to own!

For chip, i think Vishnu's ProCEDE is the way to go. hes been playing with it since last year since the 335i came out and his software has already 3 revisions. Readign on e90post, it seems the procede is very very reliable and gives you abt 60horses on his Stage 0. You can expect more form Stage 1-2.

U might wanna check with him about our models as we use 98RON petrol.

Tuning will be different & US mapping don't really work with our ECUs.

Yes there are a few revisons for difference octane levels for petrol. He has tested them.You are right that the US mappings wont really work well with the ones for Singapore as they are basically Europe Spec. US Version is slightly detuned what not. Which is why you have to post your ECU to Vishnu for him to do it for you. There is an instructional video on Vishnu Performance Systemshttp://www.vishnutuning.com on how to remove the twindeck ECU module. You can also get a C-reader for USD65 and update the later revisions of his ProCEDE ECU via your modbus module under your driver seat through your laptop with his software EEPROM Eraser and Upload.

The steptronic can take up to 457hp according to what i have read. dont have the source with me. The 335i are utilizing a strengthened torque converter from the 650i so i reckon they have actually beefed up the transmission. The manual one i think goes all the way up to abt 489+hp. i may be wrong but last i read, these were the ballpark figures. I should think all these are quoted 'at crank'.

Not bad i would say compared to DSG. I'd say BMW is real damn close to making the ZSG successful if they were able to pull this off! In fact, there is one in the pipeline!! They call it the DCT ( Dual Clutch Transmission) >> Function

Having test driven the car and posted the review on the gearbox, now the stats are also available as a proof. Great stuff.

Who needs an ///M3 man. 335 is the way to go.

Did someone mentioned here before that the 3L I-6 Twin Turbo engine was actually meant for the ///M3 but rejected for poltical reasons at BMW M-division?
