hi guys, my 1st post after a long hiatus. feels good to be back again.

saw another thread on a similar comparison and wondered how you guys would choose if the odds/ specs/ pricing were closer. if given that you have no adverse preference for a 2 or 4 door car, which would you choose, E90 325 vs E92 325?

Re: 325 vs 325

(1) Depre on the coupe will be higher, but it is a lifestyle component.
(2) What's your need for passengers? Frequent or rarely? Kids?

Re: 325 vs 325

I think they are both alright but if u r planning to get just one car for the family, an e90 is more practical. Given that there are so many E90s and E60s on the road these days, machiam like taxis sometimes, I will not go for common colours such as silver for the E90 and a black e92.:lol2: get a sparkling graphite e92:laughlik:

2 door over 4 door unless you need 4-door practicality. My dilemma would be between a high-spec E90 and a low spec E92 for the same price. Lots of toys in the cabin might sway my decision.

well i rarely pick up passengers with no kids. actually would yearn for a coupe but gadgets wise, would like to have a idrive, which the E92 325 does not have. not sure if its just me but the facelifted E90 does not look 'right', at least not yet.

dont worry, if i do get the E92, it would not be of either colour so ABD and Kenn can be breathe easier now :)

i think spec for spec both 325s are similar, its only in gadgets that one will see a diff; idrive for one (not sure what else)

I think it's mainly the iDrive and GPS, which I thought made quite a difference to the cabin. Everything else like xenons are all standard now I think, except the E90 rims have grown smaller.

agree. i thot the idrive does make the dash look so cool, never mind if i dont use the features so often

Ah Hia

Why you make it sound as though drive 2 doors "WILL DIE" like that if got kids ah???:lol2:

Look at me, man! You won't feel the diff wan lah!!!

The other fine example - STEVEN WU. Never driven a 4 door BMW and got 2 boys also......And I think this is his third BMW coupe.....from E36 to E46 to the E92 now....:cloud9:

Steady!

So...........COUPE it is man!

Re: 325 vs 325

For BMW - I don't know why - but the coupe design is always so nice. From e36 to e46 to e9x. Could it be because of its rarity? I'm not sure....

So for looks alone, I will go for e92.

But if a person must ferry old people around (grandparents, parents), then sedan may be more practical.
