If it looks "natural" e.g. the sewing thread looks like it broke loose and torn the leather at the "seams"; then it looks more like poor quality control.
If the tear is caused something like a pen knife (else how would a tear be made?)...... then if it does not look natural i.e. more like "vandalism" type of case... then:errrrrrr:

do let us know the out come with PML
u can give it a shot in my opinion the leather shld only fade and wrinkle but not tear, unless it was inflicted out off carelessness. but its a case by case basis suc matters as they may say its wear and tear.Alexxx;485832 said:

BTW off topic abit....i sold this car and bought the E82...signed and deposit paid.....signed and agreed on price liaoz...then he go check inside etc then found the tear...he told me to try claim from PML....but if really cannot claim....then no choice for him also right?

pls lorrr, urs is a used car leh, what he expect. cant expect a 2nd hand car to be in mint condition right? its coz when he resells it he has to do up the seat an it can cost quite a bit. i once enquired about the price of replacing on section of the drivers seat leather and its cost 1000 bucks, oiginal dakota leather. so u can see that this is coming ou of his pocket which means his profit is gonna be reduced from the repairs.
anyways he as agreed to purchase ur car liao in the current condition

before signing, they should have checked your ride. once signed, this means both parties agree and accept the trade in price and condition.
what gives your SE rights to demand you for additional repair price now ?
however, company always have ways to protect their backside. i'm sure you did not read through the 10+ pages t&c lines by lines, words by words right ? there might be a chance they have a clause that allow them to rescind the contract or insist you to repair the trade in car to 'original' state not neccessary new/mint condition.

go to east coast branch.. look for anwar... i dunno if he is still there... but he helped me claim ridiculous warranties before
