320 Transmission problem

I have recently bought a 320i, 2005 with 125k on the clock. Very good condition, previous PML serviced, spent some money on wear and tear at specialist. Starting to get the transmission limp mode warning every few weeks when its hot or in traffic, specialist saying potential worn shifter, 3-4k or total transmission replacement 7k! Anyone had similar problem? On restart the transmission works fine, smooth gear changes all seems ok!

The electric fan is also blowing full power and running after shut down even after a short trip but cars not overheating! Any advice? thanks

Thanks i did that and he suggested i part with alot of money for a re-con transmission or just ignore it Interesting advice. Im not familiar with Beemers, had and still drive Alfas, manual box, this motors the wifes car!
