320 0r 325???

Hi to All,

will you pay more to own a 325 4drs or is it good enough with a 320? for the fact that they are almost identical except for the engines................

Understand from some frens that the 320s are really under powered and potential for power upgrades are allmost limited.......

Appreciate your generous advise............

it all depends on the type of driver u r and also what you want out of the car.

i have recently upgraded from E46 318 to 325 ie from 4 to 6 cylinders.

you have to pay a whole lot more for the 325.
you should be able to juice out more HP out of the 325 doing mods
more HP obviously
the 325 will be able to continue power up from 100km, the 320 will be a weaker machine


but if you are a person who only drives from pt A to B, worried abt fuel consumption, and speed limits. go for the 320, you wont feel the difference. it just as gd a car the 320

Assume you have already test driven both cars ? Obviously the 325 is a much better ride, better response to throttle and the engine is smoother. But as what dukes4 said, if you just need a car for pt A to pt B, the 320 is more than good enough, at least much better than most conventional 1.6L. The 320 is a great car as well, I have driven it for 2 years before, and still give it a 5 star rating now.

I personally feel that if budget is not an issue go fo the 325. BMW are infamous for their in line sixes and you would want to experience this aspect of the car.

Believe its about 35K-40K difference ? Is quite a huge gap actually. But I also agree that bimmer's inline6 is sexy.

Not sure if PML still sell 320 standard. The last I saw they were all 320 professionals, which comes up to about 130k....not too far off the 325.

Hi..is all depends on your needs and the dollar your spend..just like myself when i bought my e90-323..some will said why 323???. you should go for 325..and if i take the 325..some will said why not 330 or 335 and M3 will be the best...bottom line is yourself..buy what you like cause the look and body size is almost the same..when you drive any BMW you will love it forever...GOOD LUCK!!!

I think it is all depends on yourself. I have driven a 200BHP (b4 mob) with 300NM car b4 and now I am good with 320. Cash on hand is KING esp the econ is bad. Cheers

thanks for all your advise and opinions.......I will have to agreed that the in-line 6 is still the signature of bimmer but definitely have to feel the pinch in order to enjoy the sweetness of it.

hope to catch up with you guys after the deal falls thru..........

a 323...inline 6 at least if finances arent a problem...

next bimmer for me gonna be a 2nd hand 335...heh...very very happy with the E46 318i though...its been a great car i'm sure the E90 320i is just gonna be as good if not better...

Congrats!!!

You will not regret it.

After driving the E90 320 for less than a year I got a chance to drive a E90 325 and man, I lost sleep over it immediately....and after some hard struggles, I sold off the almost brand new condition 320 and got a 2-yr old 325 (well, condition also tip top).

Everytime I drive the 325, always smiling from the heart and never regret the move....

I believe you'll grin everytime you drive it
