318is query

Just went to see a '95 example of the above (auto). A bit disappointed that the engine like not very willing to pull, or need to really step on the gas to get some acceleration. My previous impression back in '05 was that the response should be much more 'exciting' but did not get that feeling today. Is this just a age issue or could there be something done to get back that 'oomph'?

Thanks for any comments that all the lao jiaos may have ...

Cheers!

Re: 318is query

well, there's alot of wear n tear to be done to get it back in the "oomph" condition.
yes, its an age issue but if well-maintained, it can wow u.....just like Bro Iscoupe's previous ride.
can scare the hell out of u sitting in his car with the way he whacks his ride.

Re: 318is query

i dunno how to describe it, but the engine bay was clean, no leaking whatsoever. my feel is something internal may need to be done, may be renewed or overhaul. 1 owner since new (wow!). that was the only attraction for me.

a bit unknown how much $$ will need to sink in before it can 'wow' me again ...

Re: 318is query

I guess the age as well as the auto GB could be the reason. But as sszone mentioned, 318is manuals do pack a punch if well maintained.
One owner? wow...
