26 k to Change of Disc Brake and pad?

My colleague is driving 523 and mileage is 26k. Went for servicing yesterday and advice to change Disc brake and pad.

As I'm not drivng BMW, I need someone advice here.

1. Is this normal to change the Disc Brake at such a early stage?

2. Do u think PML is trying to take advantage of her, as she know nuts abt servicing.

3. Total cost plus normal servicing comes upto abt 1K.

so fast change disc brake? pads understandable... but the rotors sounds abit early?

think too realy la.. rotor shld last longer, unless u always hard braking or drift...

if she is driving the E60 series, the OBC had some counter as when to change the rotor and pad.

That's my thought too.

I drive more agressive and change my stock pad to performance pad.

With that, I still dn't have to change the disc brake so soon.

yeap, she driving E60. So that have this common problem?

Is this consider manufacturing problem?

change disc brake if PML gives free due to manufacturing fault covered under warranty....can proceed.
if they want her pay $$$, most likely tok her cai tao....unless u tell me she one heck of a siao cha bor driver....haha
brake pads change pretty normal, wear n tear stuff

I have had 3 BMWs over the last 8 years... experience tells me that
Disc replacement intervals is usually about every 30,000km change and Rotors about 60,000km for moderate - fast/slow driving

Hmm I tot disc and rotors means the same thing? Or U were talking bout pads normally 30K replace and Disc Rotors 60K change???

performance pads are more ex than stock but not super ex... not sure about pricing... ask our forumer wilman2772 ...he can bring in for u

Yes sorry I mean - pads every 30k and rotors every 60k is about the lifespan
